Musical Colour

Soundtrack: 'Blues in Orbit' by Duke Ellington
In my short film ‘Musical Colour’ I set about to isolate colours in filmed footage of everyday objects and my surroundings and applied them according to the colours that the sounds of Duke Ellington’s ‘Blues in Orbit’ evoked in my mind’s eye. To create this colour based interpretation I addressed elements of the rhythm and melody through rhythmic editing, textures, composition and movement.
