Industrial


These are photos from a styling project I did for a publication on Industry. The buildings are near my home in Shrewsbury. I am fascinated by machines; the piece was a study of the dominating and imposing power of working in industry on the human self. Overwhelming in its monotony the incessant repetition of tasks invades the mind.


I was also looking at the work of German popular science writer and illustrator. He saw the concept of a factory as a means to educate the public about anatomy and how our bodies work. he explored the machinery of the human body using metaphors of industrial work. He represented the digestive system as like a chemical plant
